SaTo Pan Mixed Methods Study

In 2017, I was a Sanitation Research Lead at the Centre for Infectious Disease Research in Zambia (CIDRZ) in Lusaka, Zambia. I was tasked with designing and conducting an exploratory study using Behavior Centered Design methodologies to determine potential areas along the sanitation value chain that (if promoted) could increase the demand for sanitation products/services and or provide an opportunity for the growth of social enterprises in peri-urban communities of Lusaka. This was a part of my MSc Public Health dissertation at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (under the LSHTM-CIDRZ TRANSFORM project funded by Unilever). Behaviour Centered Design and Human Centered Design methods were integral in this research. Check out some of the highlights from the data collection phase below!
